3. Withdrawal of purchases

  1. Within 7 days of the top-up date, users may withdraw the purchase (청약철회) under Article 17 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc. (전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률) (the “E-Commerce Act”).
  2. Credits that have not been used can be withdrawn in full. If some Credits have been used, only the unused portion can be withdrawn.
  3. Credits that have already been used (deducted) are the part for which the provision of digital content, such as making videos, has begun, so withdrawal is restricted under the law. This is communicated on the payment screen before payment.
  4. Withdrawal can be requested by email, and the Company does not obstruct users’ withdrawal.

4. Calculating the refund amount (deduction for used Credits)

  1. The number of Credits used is determined from the Credit history (top-up and usage records).
  2. Where free Credits were granted together with the payment, free Credits corresponding to the amount refunded are taken back along with it.
  3. If Credits were topped up in several separate payments, each payment is calculated separately.

5. Cases where refunds are limited

  • Credits that have already been used (deducted)
  • Credits that the Company granted free of charge
  • Credits that expired after their validity period passed
  • A change of mind more than 7 days after the top-up (except cases covered by Section 6)
  • Credits obtained through fraudulent payment or misuse, and Credits used on Inputs whose processing was refused or stopped because they violated the Terms of Service
  • Demanding a refund of Credits used solely because the Output does not suit one’s taste (AI-generated Outputs can differ even for the same input. However, where a system error prevented a normal result from being produced, it is handled under Section 6.)

The above does not limit the rights that the law guarantees to consumers.

6. Refunds for service failures or non-provision

  1. Where a video could not be completed for reasons attributable to the Company, such as a system error, and Credits were deducted, the deducted Credits are restored. If the user wishes, those Credits are refunded.
  2. If, at the time of the top-up, the feature the user intended to use is in preparation or has not been released, so that the Credits cannot be used, the user may request a refund of the unused Credits even if more than 7 days have passed since the top-up.
  3. If the Service becomes unavailable or ends for reasons attributable to the Company, unused Paid Credits held by the user are refunded.
  4. Where the Service differs from what was displayed or advertised, or was provided differently from the contract, the user may withdraw within 3 months of the date on which the Service became available, and within 30 days of the date the user knew or could have known of that fact.

7. How to request a refund

  1. Please request a refund by emailing admin@streamize.net.
  2. In the email, please include the account you signed up with (email address and login method), the payment date and order number (if you know it), and the reason for the refund.
  3. Please do not write passwords or card numbers in the email. If more information is needed to verify identity, the Company will ask for it separately.
  4. After checking the Credit history, the Company will tell you whether a refund is possible and the refund amount.

8. Processing refunds and refunds by payment method

When a refund is confirmed, the Company cancels or refunds the payment through the payment service provider without delay. It observes the refund deadlines set by the E-Commerce Act. The handling for each payment method is as follows; payment methods that the Service does not support do not apply.

Payment methodHow the refund is made
Credit and debit cardsThe card approval is cancelled. It may take time for the cancellation to appear, depending on the card company’s processing schedule. Amounts that have already been billed are deducted from, or returned through, later statements.
Bank transferRefunded to the account used for payment.
Virtual accountThe user must provide details of an account in the user’s own name to receive the refund.
Easy payment servicesCancelled through the relevant easy payment service, and the timing depends on how that service processes it.
  1. When a refund is confirmed, the Credits corresponding to the refunded amount are deducted from the account.
  2. Because payment is processed through the payment merchant account of another service operated by the Company (bestme.kr), “bestme” may appear on payment and refund records.

9. Credit validity period

  1. Paid Credits are valid for 5 years from the date of the top-up, a period based on the commercial limitation period under the Commercial Act (상법).
  2. Credits whose validity period has passed expire and are not refunded. The Company notifies users on the Service screen or by email before they expire. However, Credits that could not be used for reasons attributable to the Company, as in Section 6, are an exception.
  3. The validity period and conditions of use of free Credits are announced when they are granted.

10. Inquiries and dispute resolution

Please send inquiries about refunds to admin@streamize.net. Consumer disputes that cannot be resolved with the Company may be submitted for mediation through the Consumer Counseling Center (1372), the Korea Consumer Agency (kca.go.kr) and the Electronic Transactions Dispute Mediation Committee (ecmc.or.kr).
